Drilling Fluids: Study of drilling fluids, commonly known as muds, including their functions, properties, and formulation. Topics may include rheology, fluid additives, filtration control, and mud testing.
Well Control: Introduction to well control principles, practices, and techniques to maintain wellbore stability and prevent blowouts. Study of kick detection, kill methods, and well control equipment.
Drilling Equipment: Overview of drilling rig components, including drill bits, drill string, hoisting systems, mud pumps, and well control equipment. Understanding the functions, selection criteria, and operational considerations for each component.
